Welcome!!!
INDUCTION WEEK! First day - had to be at the cafe for 10.30am, i was soooo nervous but thankfully i knew where i was going having spent a year at the AIB on the foundation course. i bought a drink from the cafe which i didn't even want - and never actually drank - just so i had an excuss to sit at a table. being nosey i peered over the girl sitting behind me and saw her FdA fashion summer starter pack... "are you on the FdA fashion course?" thankfully she was! so me and hayley sat there for a good 20 mins chatting - i felt loads better by now. leading up to d-day i had had this recurring thought that id be sat all on my own and no one would speak to me for weeks! the rest of the day went fine and more importantly i went away feeling relieved, and also happy with the fact id been myself. i was chatty and actually spoke to people! an approach which completly desserted me on foundation year! the girls - oh and the 2 guys - on the course seem really cool, nice and chilled out. no-ones dead fashiony and full of themselves...yet!lol!

wednesday was pretty fab. we got put into groups - mine included the lovely Ivy and the crazy harriet! haha! we had to answer a load of questions on bournemouth, poole and the surrounding area - easy enough, i thought...seeing as ive lived here all 20 years of my life! i was rubbish! terrible at some of the questions - in fact those in my group who had lived here for 2 weeks put me to shame!lol! we caught the bus to bournemouth, got all the answers, took loads of photos, collected random stuff from the beach - like pinecones...pinecones..on a beach! random! then went and grabbed lunch at 60 million postcards - we got a pint of chips - which actually came in a pint glass...genius!
getting the course outline and timetable made me so thankfull id got onto this course. 7 weeks early my plan was for me to be packing my bags right now and heading off to london to do a course which didn't really suit me and was only picked on the bases of location, nightlife and false independence! i went into crisis mode, took a pot shot and sent off a begging email to whoever would read it at the AIB asking wether or not it was actually possible to tranfer uni's - i didn't even think the process existed! a couple of emails, an interview, a load of extra paper work and a month and a bit later, im on this fab course more determind and thankfull than ever!
