Last week before Xmas
Last Week: PCCP DEADLINE
our computer work with steve was due this week. i found the unit really easy because ive used mac before so it was all straightforward. he is a lovely man though, lots of people found his teaching style complicated, but thats because loads had never used Mac's before so it was proper basics stuff he was having to teach as well as the different programs.
PCCP deadline was thursday, thankfully i finished all my sewing lat week, all my samples were done and my shirts all finished. my folder needed sorting ive kept it quite organized but ive just added title pages and headings to help explain whats what. when i was going through the folder i realised that there was a whole pattern cutting excerise i had either missed out or lost so it was a mad rush to complete that on the thursday but i got it all sorted and handed it all in on time.
thank god its the holidays. its been a looooong term. although, on the other hand it does only feel like yesterday that we started! ive really enjoyed the term, ive learnt so much in those 3 months, more than i've learnt for years!!! i absolutly love pattern cutting - not so keen on construction, shame they come as a package!lol! and i really like the design days. and best of all ive got a really nice group of friends at uni - who are all eerily like my group of friends from school which is strange but good!

london trip
London Trip: Fashion v Sport
To be honest the exhibition at the V&A was a little disappointing. what was there was really interesting and very inspiring - and included a nearly naked picture of david beckham modeling for armani, which is always a good thing, but it took us about 10 minuets to walk through!!! so by 12noon we were on the tube on our way down to oxford street! we had to catch the coach back at 7.00pm which meant we had 7 hours to shop. which is all well and good except when its xmas oxford street pedestrian traffic + december 1st winter chill + inappropriate coat + no money and then the prospect of being stuck there for 7 hours wore thin! we took some good pics though. and we saw james nesbitt and the guy with the afro from last years big brother...yeah i knwo - LAME!

start shirt
Start Shirt Construction
We start our shirt this week, we've only got 2 days in total to complete it but i made a good start on my pattern. i had to re-do the collar because i measured it all wrong. now i understand the reason for the PCCP folder. its so easy to do your pattern cutting and adapt the block by just referring back to the file.
so yeah nothing else much happened this week i just got on with the shirt. countdown to xmas now!!!!
