its a couple of weeks in and as a team we are struggling quite a bit! our final idea on how to interpret the brief has been chopped and changed about, which has really unsettled us. it has also lead to divisions within our team - its a bit designers v promoters!

as far as myself and johanna are concerned we understand the concept we originally came up with - overexposed.

the brief given is about traces and memories. we have interpreted this by looking at what we feel our generation will be remembered for - so we considered the role the digital age plays within our lives. nearly everyone our age has a facebook account, we all write blogs! most of us have internet on our phones - our entire generation communicates constantly. but what is the value of this communication? this is our concept.

when karen met with the promoters in our group the week before meeting with me and johanna they explained our concept as having something to do with michael jackson and britney spears!!!!!!!!!! now we had discussed the role of overexposure in terms of celebrity - jackson and spears being the ultimate of that - but in no way what so ever was this ever going to be any bases for our project.

hmm.... lost communication in more ways than one!!
